Worldwide Merchant Services, LLC (“WMS”) is an international private procurement company that allows companies to outsource their procurement needs. In other words, WMS serves as a buyer for companies that don’t wish to carry the burden of procurement and purchasing departments.
WHAT WE DO
As a growing business, it is often very difficult to address all of the pressing needs that a new company faces. From day to day employee management, accounting and marketing, running a business takes a great deal of care and skill.
One of the most important aspects of running a business is making sure that the business has all of the supplies that it needs to run its operations. These include items such as machinery and general inventory. WMS makes the purchases and coordinates deliveries on behalf of its clients. WMS is effectively the purchasing department for its clients.
HOW IT WORKS
The first step is for a person or business that is interested in using WMS services is to complete an application providing information about their business and background, account information and references of people that they have conducted business with in the past. This information helps both WMS as well as potential clients. With all of the background information WMS can insure that it is conducting business with legitimate business people and avoid violating any U.S. laws. Upon providing the information, potential customers enter into the WMS network and it becomes easier for them to place orders and do business with WMS.
Once WMS receives an order, and verifies the request as well as the transfer of funds for the purchase, WMS contacts potential merchants and negotiates the best deal possible. Once the deal is entered into and the merchant provides all of the required documentation, WMS makes the payment and completes the order.
WMS notifies its client of the completion of the transaction and also provides confirmation when the product(s) arrives at its agreed upon destination. (Important Footnote: WMS does not guarantee that specific products will arrive at the final destination, rather WMS will record the manifests and provide confirmation that the products arrive in the final port of entry. Example: If XYZ corp. orders 1000 widgets to be delivered from a merchant located in Venezuela to Latvia, WMS will provide confirmation that the Widgets arrive at the Port in Riga, Latvia. WMS will not be responsible for the final arrival at the offices of the company.
This means that WMS will (
1) place the order; (
2) provide you with all of the necessary documentation; and (
3) provide you with confirmation that the product(s) arrived at the port and cleared customs.
